The Opportunity

The People and Culture Business Partner is an integral part of our People and Culture team and plays a key part in helping shape the culture at William Buck. You will report directly to the Head of People and Culture and work closely with the People and Culture team to implement the People Pillar of William Buck’s strategic plan. You will be driven, motivated and have strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines whilst working in a fast-paced environment. As a relationship driven business, the People and Culture Business Partner will build strong internal and external relationships and work collaboratively with leaders to build high performing and highly engaged teams. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional and productive working relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Coach and support leaders in manging the performance of their teams and conducting performance reviews.
  • Advise and coach leaders on general people management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders in order to support the achievement of William Buck's strategies. 
  • Manage the performance management system and procedures ensuring timely completion and provision of relevant insights
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, meeting timeframes, accuracy and responsiveness to P&C related questions and queries
  • Prepare and provide statistical P&C data for reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate the return to work program.
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture team on project work as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

Ideally you will have 3+ years experience in a generalist people and culture role with a focus on performance and coaching. 

You will have

  • previous experience guiding and coaching leaders in conducting performance reviews.
  • previous experience providing guidance and advice to staff and leaders.
  • strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • demonstrated experience communicating effectively with all levels of candidates and stakeholders.
  • excellent written communication skills.
  • ability to be adaptable, confident and committed to the promotion of our high performance culture.
