Job Description
As the Xplan & Systems Support Officer, you’ll be the go-to person responsible for supporting and maintaining all aspects of the systems and software across our Wealth Advisory team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for process improvement in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
Implement projects, deliver training upon completion, and provide ongoing technical/user support.
Analyse and enhance system performance; identify inefficiencies and automate processes.
Maintain and update templates, processes, and client databases
Manage onboarding/offboarding of staff in systems and link new clients/product feeds.
Troubleshoot data and technical issues, escalating to IT as needed.
Coordinate Innovation Committee meetings, including agendas, minutes, and actions.
Liaise with internal teams and software providers to ensure software is maintained and updated.
Develop and maintain procedure guides, disaster recovery plans, and IT policies.
Track and report on workflow, compliance, and performance through management reports.
Monitor online client access and experience, ensuring smooth digital interactions.
Provide exceptional customer support and ensure timely resolution of queries.
Identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement, making proactive recommendations.
Collaborate with the William Buck IT Advisory Group to drive firm-wide improvements.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, Finance, IT, or 3+ years' relevant experience.
Proven experience in systems support, ideally within financial services.
Solid knowledge of Xplan (or equivalent); experience with workflow/process building.
Advanced skills in MS Office (including Macros), APS (or equivalent CRM), Zoom, and Virtual Cabinet(Desirable)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Financial services/paraplanning experience is a plus but not essential.
