Job Description

As a Manager, you’ll report directly to a Partner and lead a team of 3–6 professionals. You’ll play a pivotal role in:

  • Deliver practical, forward-thinking advice to improve client performance, enhance income growth, and streamline operations. Facilitate strategic planning sessions and oversee implementation.

  • Guide, coach, and grow your team. Set direction, provide feedback, manage workflow, and drive a culture of accountability, positivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee job budgeting, workflow planning, billing, WIP management, and deadline tracking. Promote best-practice procedures and lead regular team meetings.

  • Guide and review the completion of financial statements, tax returns, FBT, BAS, and other compliance deliverables.

  • Advise on tax planning, management accounting, cash flow, and indirect tax matters. Identify opportunities to add value through our broader service offering.

  • Deliver clear, actionable insights through presentations and written reports. Present to internal and external stakeholders with confidence.

Desired Skills and Experience

You’ll need to have:

  • A degree in Accounting (or similar)

  • CA or CPA qualification

  • 3+ years of experience in a management role within public practice

  • A deep understanding of business advisory services, taxation, and compliance

  • Proficiency in software including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Excel, and APS
